Disposable mob caps are commonly used in various industries to ensure hygiene and cleanliness. These caps are made from nonwoven fabric or SMS (spunbond-meltblown-spunbond) material, which is lightweight, breathable, and comfortable to wear. Most medical-grade mob caps utilize Spunbond Polypropylene (SPP). The material density is often measured in grams per square meter (gsm).

The mob caps are designed to cover the hair and prevent contamination from falling into the working environment. They are commonly used in food processing, pharmaceutical, medical, and cleanroom environments. The elastic band ensures a secure fit and prevents the cap from slipping off during work, as they can be easily disposed of after use to prevent cross-contamination. They are also cost-effective and help maintain a clean and sterile environment.

For high-risk surgical environments, a higher gsm is preferred to ensure the fabric remains tear-resistant while maintaining a liquid-repellent barrier.
